We know you'll love your Madeira Xmas Holidays!

💬 And, there's no better way to celebrate than with Madeira Holidays Package.

Where to stay in Madeira? We've got residential-, three-, four-, and five-star hotels in Madeira that will make your holidays bright and festive: our hotels are decorated with lights, nativity scenes, the traditional "Madeira lapinha", and other decorations that are part of this period. You can choose from hotels in Madeira Funchal, near Funchal (Madeira’s capital city), or outside the hotels in Funchal city centre.

But our holiday spirit doesn't stop there. We also have Madeira Christmas lights and sound shows that will get you in the heart of things; various performances throughout Funchal's Central Walkway of Avenida Arriaga; lots of Madeira Christmas Markets on the streets and around the island; an ethnographic village; nativity scenes; and more.

And if all that isn't enough for you? We'll host our New Year's Eve Fireworks Show at Funchal's amphitheatre! That means you can watch all of Madeira Christmas Traditions come together in one place on December 31 (midnight).

💬 Testimonials

My husband and I spent a week in Madeira over Christmas. We'd never been away for the holidays before, so we were unsure what to expect. But our trip was even better than we'd hoped! The hotel was excellent. The buffet breakfasts were delicious—we had a different menu daily with fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, eggs cooked to order, and many other options. There was a gala dinner on Christmas Eve that included an incredible spread of food. And on Christmas Day, another buffet. As for Funchal itself? We couldn't believe how beautiful it was! All the lights were breathtaking; I'd never seen anything like it. The decorations in town were delightful, too—it felt like fairyland! My only criticism is that we should have stayed longer! But maybe next year... Highly recommended!  Paul H

We arrived in Madeira on the 21st of December and were delighted. The hotel was tastefully decorated and lovely, with all of our needs met. We could see the sea from our balcony, and the room was spotlessly clean. But the best part about this hotel is its staff: friendly, professional people who make you feel at home right away. The receptionist gave us a booklet full of entertainment options for the festive season— including the amazing Christmas lights in Funchal, carol singing by children from local schools, live music and concerts. There were also special decorations around the hotel (dining room etc), making it feel like Christmastime! The food was of good quality throughout our stay. All in all, we had a wonderful time and will definitely return. Lindsey M
